Keck's Exclusives: Laverne and Shirley To Be Honored at TV Land Awards

I'm excited to announce the first honoree for the upcoming 10th Annual TV Land Awards — The Fan Favorite Award will go to the iconic 1976-83 sitcom Laverne & Shirley. Accepting the award will be four cast members: Penny Marshall (Laverne), Cindy Williams (Shirley), David L. Lander (Squiggy) and Michael McKean (Lenny).
The Fan Favorite Award, selected each year by TV Land, has previously been awarded to such beloved shows as Family Ties, The Love Boat and Home Improvement. The Fan Favorite Award is given to an All-American classic that, per TV Land, "won the hearts of television viewers, with characters who became our friends, stories we could all relate to and irresistible laughs."
Laverne & Shirley, set in Milwaukee during the 1950s, was a spin-off of Happy Days, which was previously honored. This year's show, hosted by Kelly Ripa, will be filmed in New York City on April 14, and air on April 29.
