Some deaths were hardly surprising (see ya, Shane!), some we expected (RIP, Mike Delfino), but others definitely caught us off-guard, like Lexie's emotional passing just 20 minutes in to the Grey's Anatomy season finale. And we even lost a non-human (Hint: He's made of glass.)
