TNT Picks Up Private Investigator Series From NCIS: LA Showrunner

Jon Tenney

TNT has picked up a new series from NCIS: LA showrunner Shane Brennan centered on two former Secret Service agents-turned-private investigators, Deadline reports.

The untitled series, starring Jon Tenney and Rebecca Romijn, received a 10-episode order and is set to premiere some time this summer. Adapted from characters by bes-tselling author David Baldacci, the show follows Sean King (Tenney) and Michelle Maxwell (Romijn), whose unique skills and strong chemistry gives them a leg up on the police when it comes to finding the bad guys;. The pilot co-stars Michael O'Keefe (Michael Clayton) and Chris Butler, who recurs on The Good Wife, as two FBI agents who occasionally cross paths with King and Maxwell.

Brennan penned the script and will executive-produce with Grant Anderson. Karen Spiegel will produce and Baldacci will consult on the series, which was originally developed for CBS last season.

Tenney most recently co-starred on TNT's landmark hit The Closer for seven seasons as Brenda's better-half, Fritz. He also recurred on The Newsroom last season. Romijn, best known for her roles in Ugly Betty and X-Men, most recently guest-starred on the final season of Chuck.
