TNT has ordered a second season of nursing drama HawthoRNe.
The cable network has asked for 10 more episodes of the series, which stars Jada Pinkett Smith and Michael Vartan. The new episodes are set to air in 2010.

The show's first season has strengthened TNT's prime-time lineup, averaging 3.8 million viewers each week. "HawthoRNe has been a great addition to TNT's lineup of original series, and Jada Pinkett Smith's performance has been a tremendous draw with viewers," Michael Wright, head of programming for TNT, TBS and TCM said in a statement. "There are powerful episodes remaining, and we're looking forward to what is certain to be an extraordinary second season."
