The 29-year-old rapper, an Atlanta native, is expected to stay at the halfway house for a maximum of three months. He was sentenced to a year and a day behind bars for illegal firearms possession and possessing a gun as a convicted felon.

The multiplatinum recording artist behind hits such as "Live Your Life" and "Whatever You Like" began his sentence last May.

Sadow told the AP that Harris "did his very best to adjust to his circumstances" in prison. He also told the news agency his client is anticipating getting back to his family and being as productive as possible.

The rapper will appear in the February 2010 film Takers.
