Judgment at Nuremberg
Turner Classic Movies will devote Tuesdays in September to a wide array of films focusing on Jewish history and heritage, from Al Jolson's 1927 "talkie" The Jazz Singer, to the Nazi war crimes drama Judgment at Nuremberg to the Barbra Streisand-Robert Redford romance The Way We Were.
The films will be introduced and discussed by TCM host Robert Osborne and Dr. Eric Goldman, Ph.D., an author and adjunct professor at Yeshiva University, and an expert on Yiddish, Israeli and Jewish film.
Theme evenings include "The Evolving Jew" and "The Immigrant Experience" (Sept. 2), "The Holocaust" (Sept. 9), "Israeli Classics" and "The Jewish Homeland" (Sept. 16), "Tackling Prejudice" (Sept. 23) and "Coming of Age" (Sept. 30). For a full schedule of films in the showcase, go to tcm.com.
