TBS Debuts Conan O'Brien Emmy Campaign

Conan O'Brien

TBS is mounting an Emmy campaign for Conan O'Brien, even though the work being touted was done on NBC.

Conan O'Brien moves to Warner Bros. lot for new late-night show

TBS doesn't mind promoting O'Brien's work on NBC, where he hosted The Tonight Show. "Conan's great work in 2009 and 2010 deserves Emmy consideration," Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks told The Hollywood Reporter.

"Give this man one more thing to tweet about," one of the ads says. O'Brien has been a Twitter force since he joined in February. He now has more than 1 million followers.

Another ad says O'Brian should be considered for "outstanding achievement in the use of SPF 150."

TBS to air Conan O'Brien comedy special next month

O'Brien, 47, will debut on TBS on Sunday, June 27 (10/9c) in Team Coco Presents Conan's Writers Live, a one-hour comedy special. His new late-night show on TBS will begin in November.
