Swamp People Star Trapper Joe Arrested After Altercation with Girlfriend

Swamp People star "Trapper" Joe LaFont was arrested on assault and battery charges in Orange County, Florida Wednesday morning, TMZ reports.
According to the arrest report obtained by TMZ, the reality star attempted to burn his girlfriend with a lit cigarette before punching her in the chest. The report includes a witness' statement that claimed Trapper Joe and his girlfriend, who both appeared to be drunk, were fighting at the Buena Vista Hotel and Spa right after midnight.

The witness goes on to say he saw Joe punch his girlfriend in the chest and then grab her by the arms and shake her very hard.
According to the girlfriend, the incident all started because she wanted to know who had called Lafont. When she reached for the phone, Lafont tried to burn her with a lit cigarette, she said.
Though Lafont denied the accusations, he was arrested and booked into police custody.
