Cancer survivors Christina Applegate and Maura Tierney will be among the cavalcade of stars appearing on next month's Stand Up to Cancer TV special.
And among the musical performances on the one-hour fundraiser will be an all-star collaboration led by Stevie Wonder with Natasha Bedingfield, Queen Latifah, Martina McBride, Aaron Neville and Dave Stewart.

It will be carried live on Friday, Sept. 10 at 8/7c on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, Bio, Discovery Health, E!, G4, HBO, HBO Latino, MLB Network, mun2, Showtime, Smithsonian Channel, The Style Network, TV One and VH1.
Also in the line-up of actors, musicians, athletes and journalists announced Thursday: Lance Armstrong, Fran Drescher, Elizabeth Edwards, Michael C. Hall, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Sharon Osbourne, Robin Roberts, Sofia Vergara, Marissa Jaret Winokur and Ethan Zohn.
"We couldn't do this without everyone's help — from the networks and cable channels donating the airtime to our celebrity volunteers participating in the show and a lot of other people in between," said Sherry Lansing, one of the co-founders of Stand Up To Cancer.
Stand Up To Cancer fundraiser returning in September
The broadcast -- dedicated to the 12 million cancer survivors in the United States — aims to show how groundbreaking research can turn the tide against the disease. CNN's Sanjay Gupta will report on developments.
The hosts, who were previously announced, will be anchors Katie Couric of the CBS Evening News, Diane Sawyer of ABC's World News and Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News
Other participants confirmed for the broadcast include Sally Field, Ray Liotta, Seth Rogen, Seth MacFarlane, Mandy Moore, Alyson Hannigan, Apolo Anton Ohno, David Boreanaz, Abigail Breslin, Dr. Mehmet Oz, Jim Parsons, Terrence Howard, Cindy Crawford, Minka Kelly, Laura Linney and Reese Witherspoon.
The 2008 telecast was viewed in more than 170 countries and helped raise more than $100 million.
