Southland May Be Heading to TNT

Southland

Southland may find a second life on TNT, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The cable network is talking with Warner Bros. TV to pick up the gritty cop drama, which was abruptly axed by NBC Thursday, two weeks before its scheduled Season 2 premiere. TNT and Warner Bros. are both under the corporate umbrella Time Warner Inc.

NBC cancels Southland

"We continually look at all programming opportunities that fit our portfolio of brands," TNT said in a statement.

A rep for the network did not have any further details.

TNT is no stranger to police dramas as it is home to The Closer, Saving Grace and Dark Blue.
