Sofia Vergara missed the Oscars on Sunday — but not because of an operation.

Hours after Britain's Daily Mail reported that Modern Family star was hospitalized for surgery, the actress revealed on Twitter that she had simply come down with the flu.
"Watching the Oscars at home so I dont give everyone the flu haha!" Vergara shared, along with a photo of her sick in bed.
In addition to the ceremony, Vergara was scheduled to attend Madonna's annual Oscars party.
