After months of speculation, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has confirmed that she is, in fact, engaged.

"I haven't started planning anything because everything has been very recent," she told Celebuzz. "I am kind of, you know, working a lot — I just started the Modern Family season — so I don't know yet [when I will get married]. No plans."
Reports of Vergara's engagement to Nick Loeb began after the actress' 40th birthday trip to Mexico, when she started sporting quite the sparkler on her ring finger. Since then, multiple sources have confirmed the engagement — including Vergara's own son, who released a tape of the proposal — but until now the actress remained mum on the topic.
Vergara's Modern Family character, Gloria, revealed her pregnancy in last season's finale. But will art imitate life for the newly engaged actress?

"It's something that maybe ... one day I'll do again. I wouldn't mind," she said. "I mean, I think I can still do it. But you know, when you want to do something like that, you want to do it right, at the right moment. So I am taking it easy. ... Maybe when I have a little less work."
