Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi has called it quits with Jionni LaValle, her boyfriend of eight months, Life and Style reports.
Season 5 of Jersey Shore on the way
A source tells the magazine that the two broke up after he visited her in Florence, Italy where she is currently shooting Season 4 of the MTV reality mega-hit.
"He said it was hard for them to be apart, and that with the whole world knowing her past, he finds it very hard to trust her," a source told Life & Style. "I think he was just really sad about being away from her so much. I'm not sure who broke up with whom — it seems to be mutual because of the distance and the time apart."
Season 4 of Jersey Shore premieres Thursday, Aug. 4 at 10/9c on MTV.
