Jersey Shore's Snooki to "Drop In" on MTV New Year's Special

Jersey Shore has made Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi famous for being the life of the party, and now MTV is taking that one step further.
For the network's New Year's Eve special, the 23-year-old reality star will be placed in a ball that will drop in New York's Times Square as the clock counts down to midnight, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Polizzi will join the rest of the Jersey Shore cast, who plan to lead the crowd in fist pumping to try to break Guinness world record.
MTV New Year's Bash, hosted by comic Whitney Cummings, will air at 11 p.m. on Dec. 31.
