Talks for Jersey Shore star Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino to appear on Bones have fallen through, a show rep says.
"The Situation is not going to work out," executive producer Stephen Nathan told Entertainment Weekly, which first reported the news. "There were so many contractual difficulties with MTV that it just became an impossibility."

Bones plans to cast an actor in the role, and the episode will still be a tribute to one of the Garden State's most famous series.
"But the episode will still be our little tribute to Jersey Shore," Nathan said, "and it will do what many people in America would like to see themselves —which is one of those people dead."
Bones' new season premieres Thursday, Sept. 23 at 8/7c.
