The annual "Treehouse of Horror" anthology episode of The Simpsons, airing October 7, spoofs the Mayans' end-of-the-world prophecy, the Higgs boson "God particle" and the Paranormal Activity flicks.
"A supernatural force is terrorizing the Simpsons, and it's all captured in some security-cam 'found footage,'" reveals exec producer Al Jean. And be careful what you wish for: A Back to the Future riff has Bart going to the past to destroy his parents' relationship. Great Scott!
