Last season on Weeds, which took place three years in the future, Nancy (Mary-Louise Parker) restarted her pot-selling business in New York City and reunited with the rest of the Botwin clan (plus Doug) after her stint in federal prison for the murder of Pilar. The season ended on a big cliff-hanger when a mysterious sniper fired a bullet at the Botwin family as they were enjoying a seemingly peaceful family dinner in Connecticut.

Episodes: The creation of "Matt LeBlanc" (and the destruction of Joey)

LeBlanc earned a Golden Globe for his work on the first season of Episodes, in which he plays a fictional version of himself. The series follows Sean (Stephen Mangan) and Beverly (Tamsin Greig), a British couple who come to America to produce a sitcom based on their hit U.K. program. The second season will pick up with the couple no longer living together and forced into an awkward working relationship with Matt, the star of their show.
