Allison is married to Cole (Joshua Jackson), a tough cowboy who manages a ranch, while Noah is married to Helen (Maura Tierney), his college sweetheart and best friend whose life is turned upside down by Noah's infidelity.

The Affair was written by In Treatment's Sarah Treem and Hagai Levi, who will also executive-produce with Shameless' Mark Mylod and director Jeffrey Reiner.
