Johnson will play a student at Ulysses S. Grant High School who interacts with Jack (Greg Finley) and Grace (Megan Park) in an episode scheduled to air in early 2010. She'll film her appearance on Aug. 3, just days before the Teen Choice Awards, where she's nominated in three categories and is serving as a presenter.
Johnson burned through DVDs of Secret Life's very first episodes as she trained for the 2008 Summer Olympics, where she went on to win four medals, one of them gold. After the gymnast revealed herself to be one of the show's biggest fans, the Secret Life cast cheered on her and Mark Ballas as they vied for — and eventually won — Dancing with the Stars' Season 8 crown.
Johnson first appeared on Secret Life's September 2008 midseason finale.
ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager airs Mondays at 8/7 CT.
