The Olympic gold medalist snowboarder decided to donate his hair to Locks of Love, a charity that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair because of illnesses.

"I've been thinking about this one for a while, but it's for a good cause, so I'm going to do it," White says in a YouTube video, which shows his hair being cut. "Somebody needs it more than I do."
