Shakira Confirms She's Leaving The Voice
After this season, Shakira is trading in The Voice duty for diaper duty.
The Colombian singer, who joined the NBC singing competition this season, confirms that she is exiting from her big red chair to focus on motherhood. "I have to get back to my baby — give him some love and dedicate some time to him and also to my new album that I'm working on," Shakira told Access Hollywood. "You never know, maybe[I'll be back] in the future."

Shakira welcomed her first child, Milan, in January with Spanish soccer player, Gerard Piqué. She filmed the Season 4 blind auditions last fall while she was several months pregnant and then returned to the U.S. to film the subsequent battle rounds in the spring. Several weeks ago during filming, she posted pictures with her son on the set of the show.
Earlier this week, The Wrap reported that original judge Christina Aguilera would be returning instead of Shakira, for a reported $17 million. CeeLo Green is also reportedly nearing a deal to return for Season 5, which will premiere in the fall on NBC.
