Teen drama Secret Life of the American Teenager will be back for a second season.
The ABC Family series examines the relationships within a family and their community when 15-year-old Amy Juergens (Shailene Woodley) unexpectedly becomes pregnant. The show debuted last summer to record-setting ratings on the netlet.
"The Secret Life of the American Teenager has really struck a chord not just with our Millennial audience, but with viewers across the board," Kate Juergens, executive vice president, Original Series Programming & Development, said in a statement. "The success of this show goes directly to creator Brenda Hampton's telling of this heartfelt story and is backed by the standout performances of our talented cast."
