Sean Connery declined a judge's request to testify in a Spanish court hearing, citing his age and unspecified health issues, The Associated Press reports.
The 80-year-old actor and his wife, Micheline Roquebrune, were summoned to appear Friday as part of the "Goldfinger Case" — an investigation into possible tax evasion involving a beachfront property Connery used to own in Marbella. The couple has not been charged.

The magistrate will decide next week how to proceed, according to a court official. Options include sending Spanish officials to question Connery at home, though the official did not know where Connery currently lives. The Scotland native owns a home in the Bahamas.
Connery vacationed at the Marbella property — named Malibu — for 20 years before selling it in 1998. The site was later rezoned to build a 72-apartment complex, despite a planning permit that said only five homes could be constructed on it, according to local authority, cited by AFP. The judge is looking into possible tax evasion in the land project.
