The series, which aired its Season 3 finale in April, earned Sarah Silverman a lead actress Emmy nomination last year. The Sarah Silverman Program was on the brink of cancellation after its second season, when network wanted to slash the show's budget by 20 percent. Sister network Logo co-financed the program in order to make the third season possible.

Meanwhile, Comedy Central has announced the renewal of Tosh.0  for a 16-episode second season starting June 2 at 10:30/9:30c.
