Sarah Michelle Gellar, David Boreanaz
Is Buffy heading back to Sunnydale? Sarah Michelle Gellar thinks it's possible!
While promoting her new show The Crazy Ones, Gellar told E! that she's open to a Buffy the Vampire Slayer feature film, but she does have a few hang-ups.
Buffy and other cult shows that deserve a movie
and I always talk about [a movie]," Gellar said. "But the thing with Buffy
is that Buffy
was a movie, and it ultimately didn't work as a film. And I mean, we had such miles to overcome when we were trying to do a TV show based on a movie. And one of the reasons is that the story works better over time."
"If there was ever the right story, we would do it," she added.
This is great news for Buffy
fans, whose hope of any reunion was slightly dashed in May when co-star Alyson Hannigan
admitted on Watch What Happens Live
that Gellar was "the most annoyed" to be on Buffy
by the series' end. "She had a big career going," Hannigan explained. "It was a lot of work."
