Saffron Burrows is leaving the Bones' spin-off, The Finder, as Fox reconceives the character, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Based on The Locator books by Richard Greener, the spin-off follows Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults), a former military policeman with the ability to find anything. Burrows, 38, played Sherman's sidekick, a bar owner who's also a helicopter pilot.

Burrows' role will now be reimagined before the series premiere at midseason, when Bones goes on hiatus. Hart Hanson wrote the pilot and will executive-produce the series.

Burrows most recently starred opposite Jeff Goldblum on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. She previously appeared on Boston Legal and My Own Worst Enemy.
