So You Think You Can Dance's Alex Da Silva Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison in Rape Case

Former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Alex Da Silva has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after a jury convicted him on rape charges Friday, TMZ.com reports.

Da Silva, who worked on the Fox reality show during the first four seasons, was convicted of one count of rape and one count of assault with the intent to commit rape.

The 43-year-old choreographer was arrested in 2009 and charged with the rape and sexual assault of four women who were his dance students.  The jury deadlocked on the remaining counts, which were subsequently dismissed. Da Silva has also been ordered to register as a sex offender.
