Exclusive: Law & Order: SVU Drafts Treat Williams for Guest Spot

Treat Williams

Law & Order: SVU has drafted Treat Williams to guest-star on an upcoming episode, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

The Golden Globe-nominated actor, 59, will play Jake Stanton, a former all-star quarterback caught up in a sting operation with an underage prostitute. Stanton will be represented by famed defense attorney Bayard Ellis (Andre Braugher), who made his first appearance on the NBC drama last week.

Andre Braugher battles the team on SVU: "He may be the enemy, but he's not a villain"

Shooting on the episode, entitled "Spiraling Down," begins this week. The episode will air on Dec. 7.

Best known for starring as Dr. Andy Brown on Everwood for four seasons, Williams currently appears on the Lifetime series Against the Wall.

Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
