Report: Russell Crowe Eyeing Superman Role

Russell Crowe is looking to join Zach Snyder's cinematic Superman reboot, Man of Steel, reports Variety's Showblitz blog reports.
The Oscar-winning actor would play Superman's biological father Jor-El, the role immortalized by Marlon Brando in the 1978 film Superman.
Henry Cavill is engaged
Should Crowe sign on, he'll be joining Henry Cavill (in the title role), Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon. Snyder has yet to find an actress to play Superman's birth mother, though he's reportedly looking for an A-lister.
Production on Man of Steel is scheduled to begin next month.
