Robin Roberts' Mother Dies at 88

The sad news continues for Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts, whose mother, Lucimarian Roberts, died Thursday. She was 88.
Roberts was supposed to exit GMA today for extended medical leave as she gets treatment for a rare bone marrow disorder, but she left a day early in order to be with her ailing mother in Mississippi.

Despite having to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac along the way, Roberts and her sister, Sally-Ann (who'll be her bone marrow donor), made it home in time to say goodbye to their mom on Thursday, ABC News reports.
The cause of Lucimarian's death was not announced, and the family plans to hold a small, private memorial service.
