Think Ricky Gervais went too far while hosting the Golden Globes? He doesn't.

"I think last year I didn't go far enough," he said afterward. "This year, I went about right. If anyone was offended, then I don't care."

He zinged Hugh Hefner, Scientologists, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, Charlie Sheen's recent hotel debacle, the age of the Sex and the City 2 stars and The Tourist for even being among the nominees.

The 49-year-old British comic then seemingly disappeared for nearly an hour of the telecast, sending the Twitter world into a frenzy of conspiracy theories.

At the HBO afterparty Sunday, The Office creator told TVGuide.com that he simply did what was planned for him. "Everyone introduces someone, so I had about a set of nine people. Everything was scheduled."

"That's nice," he said of the Twitter world exploding over his disappearance.
