Rick Springfield to Spoof Himself on Californication

Californication may lose Pamela Adlon, but it's gaining Rick Springfield.
The General Hospital alum and "Jessie's Girl" rocker will play himself in four episodes of the Showtime series, EW's Ausiello reports.
Springfield's recruitment follows a casting call put out by producers asking for "an actor who experienced huge fame in the 80's to play themselves as a now down-on his-luck-ex-celebrity waiting tables to get by."
Not to mention stripping down — as to be expected, the role calls for nudity and sex scenes. Springfield previously bared his bum in 1984's Hard to Hold, so we'll finally see how it's all holding up.
