Regis Philbin Announces Final Day on Live

Regis Philbin's last day on Live with Regis and Kelly will be Friday, Nov. 18, he announced on Tuesday's show.
"Last January, I made the announcement that I'll be moving on, but I never gave you an exact date," he said. "So I'm pushing it back five years. Just kidding."

Philbin, 80, has co-hosted Live for 28 years and said in January he planned to leave the show by fall.
His replacement has not been named yet, but Ryan Seacrest, Andy Cohen and Mark Consuelos — Kelly Ripa's husband — are reportedly the top three candidates. Philbin said Ripa will be trying out new co-hosts, just as he did with her 11 years ago when the actress was selected to replace Kathie Lee Gifford.
"She's looking forward to some new, young, hot stud," Philbin joked.
