Real Housewives' Caroline Says Danielle's Past "Was a Safety Concern"
After Tuesday's episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey revealed the discovery of a book alleging that housewife Danielle Staub was arrested for extortion and involved in kidnapping, drugs and prostitution, castmate Caroline Manzo says that the new information "was a safety concern."
"When something this explosive falls into your lap, for anyone to just dismiss it would be foolish," Caroline told People. "It's beyond catty gossip. There are a lot of facets to this story that can affect us in a negative way."
In the episode, Caroline reveals that her niece discovered the book, Cop Without a Badge, which details Danielle's run-in with the law and former persona (click here for the full episode recap).
Caroline, a mother of three, explained she didn't care about her reputation being tarnished by association to Danielle, but instead says it was "a safety concern."
"Come on, let's think about it: Would you put your child in a situation like that?" Caroline asked. "Until we know the truth, you have to just act reasonably."
But it doesn't end there, folks. According to Caroline, there's plenty more drama to come, so, she advises, "Buckle up." The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Tuesdays at 10 pm/ET on Bravo.
