Ratings: The Talk Premiere Boosts CBS Daytime

CBS' new daytime talk show The Talk premiered Monday to 2.25 million viewers, according to the network.

The roundtable women's series, hosted by Julie Chen among others, was up 29 percent in its time period among women 18-49 and up 22 percent in women overall compared to a year ago. The Talk replaced long-running daytime soap As the World Turns, which wrapped in September after 54 years.
Alongside Chen, The Talk is co-hosted by Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur. Upcoming guests include Melissa Rycroft, Chandra Wilson, Jamie Lee Curtis and Dancing with the Stars' Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke.
