Did the blackout cost Super Bowl XLVII from scoring record numbers?
Sunday's Baltimore Ravens-San Francisco 49ers showdown was watched by 108.41 million viewers, making it the third most-watched program in history behind last year's Super Bowl (111.3 million viewers) and the 2011 Super Bowl (111 million viewers).

The game also earned a household rating/share of 46.3/69 to become the second highest-rated Super Bowl in 27 years.
The numbers do not include the period of the power outage, from 8:45-9:15 p.m. ET, during which viewership dipped. Ratings peaked during the final 15 minutes of the game, from 10:30-10:45 p.m. ET.

CBS' post-Super Bowl broadcast of Elementary scored 20.8 million viewers and a 7.8 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, down from the 37.6 million viewers and 16.3 The Voice nabbed last year. Although those are the freshman series' best numbers ever, it's also the third lowest post-Super Bowl broadcast since 2003. Only Alias (17.4 million, 8.2) in 2003 and Family Guy (15.2 million, 7.6) in 2005 were lower. Thanks to the power outage that delayed the game by 34 minutes, Elementary didn't start until 11:15 p.m./ET.
