Skating With the Stars finished falling through the ice, getting an average audience of 3.4 million people and hypothermic 0.8 rating in the 18-to-49 demographic.

One of only two other new episodes on network television Tuesday night, Minute To Win It attracted some 7 million people (2.2 rating) versus Skating at 8/7c. Minute was 9 percent below the previous Tuesday.

The second non-repeat, Million Dollar Money Drop, had 5.5 million viewers at 9/8c,  -- a 2.0, the same as its Monday rating at 9 o'clock.

Skating — which crowned soap star Rebecca Budig as champ — finished fourth, even running behind repeats of NCIS (12.3 million viewers) and Glee (4.1 million). It outpaced only a rerun of One Tree Hill (1 million).

Saturday Night Live Presents: A Very Gilly Christmas, starring Kristen Wiig, succeeded in trying to put some 6 million viewers in the holiday mood, delivering a 2.3 rating among 18-to-49-year-olds. However, the special was down 26 percent from its first airing last December.

CBS averaged 10.1 million viewers, beating NBC (6.3 million). Fox finished third with 4.8 million viewers. ABC averaged 3.7 million, and the CW 890,000.

NBC won the demo battle with a 2.3 rating. Next was CBS (1.9).
