ABC sees dead people big ratings.
After terrible launches for Mind Games and Mixology, the network saw huge numbers Sunday for the series premiere of Resurrection, which drew 13.3 million viewers and a 3.6 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, making it the best midseason drama debut since Smash. It also posted ABC's biggest audience in the slot since January 2010 and the best rating since January 2011.
'90s stars: Where are they now?
Revenge followed with 6.5 million and a 1.9, up six tenths from its last new episode. Once Upon a Time opened ABC's night to 7.3 million and a 2.3, up 21 percent from its fall finale.
Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, which aired across 10 networks, grabbed 5.8 million and a 2.1 on Fox. Full ratings for the show will be in later Monday.
On CBS, The Amazing Race All-Stars (8.4 million, 1.8) rose three tenths from last week's series low opposite the Oscars. The Good Wife (8.9 million, 1.3) and The Mentalist (9.9 million, 1.6) returned down five tenths and two tenths, respectively.
On cable, True Detective closed out its first season to a series high 3.5 million viewers, up 50 percent from its premiere. The drama averaged 11 million viewers during the season, making it HBO's most-watched freshman series since Six Feet Under in 2001.
Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan's OWN docuseries bowed to 693,184 viewers, up 57 percent in the timeslot year to year.
