Private Practice closed out its six-year run with its highest numbers since October.
The series finale drew 5.2 million viewers and a 1.5 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, up 25 percent from last week. Lead-in The Taste averaged 6 million viewers and a 2.2 for its series premiere, helping ABC to a win. The Taste was the night's top-rated program and was a tenth higher than Dancing with the Stars' premiere in the slot last season.

Private Practice did lose the 10 p.m. slot to Parenthood, whose season finale earned 4.8 million viewers and a 1.7, down two-tenths from last week. NBC's comedies Go On (4 million, 1.3) and The New Normal (3.3 million, 1.2) continue to suffer without The Voice, falling to series lows.
Fox's comedies all grew after a low showing across the board last week.
On The CW, Hart of Dixie (1.5 million, 0.7) matched a season high.
