Betrayal got off to a rough start on a low night all around.
The infidelity drama debuted Sunday to 5.3 million viewers and a 1.5 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, down six tenths from 666 Park Avenue's premiere last year. Lead-ins Once Upon a Time (8.5 million, 2.6) and Revenge (8.04 million, 2.5) returned down 33 percent and 25 percent, respectively. Both Once and Revenge, however, were up from their season finales.

CBS' lineup was delayed 15 minutes by football, but all its shows The Amazing Race (8.8 million, 2.0), The Good Wife (8.9 million, 1.5) and The Mentalist (9.7 million, 1.6) were down roughly 20 percent each vs. last seasons' openers.
Sunday Night Football dominated as usual with 18.5 million and a 6.7, while The Simpsons (4.5 million, 2.8) was the top-rated scripted show of the night, though it dropped a full point from its premiere last year. The rest of Fox's animated lineup also fell about 20 percent each.
