Ratings: NBC Falls to Fifth Place Behind Univision During February Sweeps

After enjoying a rare successful fall, NBC fell from first to fifth place behind Univision during February sweeps, according to Deadline.com.

NBC had already been struggling during midseason, but fell even further during February sweeps, with the network projected to finish fifth in the 18-to-49 demographic — a big drop from placing first during November sweeps. The network has been averaging a 1.2 rating in the demo, below Univision's 1.5 rating. In comparison, ABC is averaging 1.7, Fox a 2.0 and CBS a 4.9, thanks, in part, to the Super Bowl and Grammys.

NBC axes Do No Harm

During sweeps, Do No Harm both premiered and was swiftly canceled after abysmal ratings, going from a 0.9 to a 0.7 in the demo. Additionally, Smash's second season has been struggling, returning 71 percent down from its series premiere. Its latest outing garnered a 0.9 in the demo. Both The Voice and Revolution, which helped lead NBC to a win this fall, won't be back until March.

Univision previously bested one of the big networks in July 2010 and 2012, ranking higher than CBS, but it's the first time it has beaten NBC and come in fourth during an in-season sweep, according to the site.
