CSI: Miami's move to Sunday was a good one for CBS.
Miami drew 11.8 million viewers, according to overnight Nielsen estimates. Even though the show was down 26 percent in the 18-to-49 demographic from its premiere on Monday last year, the series was up 52 percent in the demo over Cold Case's premiere on Sunday last fall.

Miami benefited from strong lead-ins — The Amazing Race (12.1 million viewers) and Undercover Boss (12.5 million viewers).
NBC's Sunday Night Football, where the New York Giants beat the Chicago Bears 17-3, still easily won the night with an average of roughly 18.4 million viewers.
Besides football, Miami went head-to-head against Brothers & Sisters, which pulled in 7.8 million viewers, a slight improvement from last week. Elsewhere on ABC, a musical episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition pulled in 8.6 million viewers, followed by Desperate Housewives with 13 million viewers.

Fox's animation block led the network into second place for the night. The Simpsons (8.6 million viewers) and Family Guy (7.9 million viewers) performed best, while The Cleveland Show drew 6.7 million viewers) and American Dad pulled in 6.1 million viewers.
On cable, Deadliest Roads, a spinoff of Ice Road Truckers, debuted to 3.2 million viewers, the second-highest series launch ever on the History channel.
