Ratings: Academy of Country Music Awards on Top; Once and GCB Hit Series Lows
Blake Shelton and Lionel Richie
The Academy of Country Music Awards led CBS to an easy victory Sunday night, despite dropping off last year's mark.
The awards ceremony averaged 12.9 million viewers and a 3.1 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, down 6 percent from last year.
Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift win big at ACMs
Going against the ACMs, ABC saw series lows for Once Upon a Time (8.2 million, 2.7) and GCB (5.84 million, 1.9), which fell 7 and 10 percent from the previous week, respectively. Desperate Housewives (8.38 million, 2.6) remained steady.
NBC's three-hour episode of Celebrity Apprentice (5.9 million, 1.8) was also flat compared to last week's usual two-hour helping. But the show grew every hour and outdrew the 0.8 rating its lead-in Harry's Law has been earning in the 8 o'clock hour.
