Jaime Foxx and Kerry Washington
Apparently, there's plenty of more Django to go around!
Director Quentin Tarantino revealed during the Cannes Film Festival on Friday that he has enough extra footage from his highly stylized Western film Django Unchained to cut together a miniseries, according to USA Today.
"I have about 90 minutes worth of material with Django," he told the festival audience. "It hasn't been seen. My idea, frankly, is to cut together a four-hour version of Django Unchained. But I wouldn't show it like a four-hour movie. I would cut it up into hour chapters, like a four-part miniseries and show it on cable television, show it like an hour at a time, each chapter."
They're how old?! Check out stars who don't age
The Oscar-nominated film starred Jamie Foxx as the titular character, who was freed from slavery to help bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Christoph Waltz) in exchange for the promise that his wife Broomhilda (Kerry Washington) would be freed from her cruel plantation owner.
"We'd use all the material I have, and it wouldn't be an endurance test," he continued. "It would be a miniseries, and people love those. People roll their eyes at a four-hour movie. But a four-hour miniseries that they like, then they are dying to watch all four parts. That's how I thought it could work."
