Poppy Montgomery First to Be Colored True Blue

Without a Trace alum Poppy Montgomery is the first to nab a role in the ABC pilot True Blue.

The drama revolves around six former best friends who rose through the ranks at the San Francisco Police Department and reunite to solve the murder of one of their own. Past rivalries and old flames pop up, however.

Forgotten and Raising the Bar stars join ABC drama

Montgomery will play hard-working Katherine Miller, the department's only female police captain, who struggles to balance her demanding career and complicated personal life following a divorce.

The actress, who had a seven-year run on Without a Trace, is also known for her portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the CBS miniseries Blonde.
