USA Renews In Plain Sight; Criminal Intent May Be Next

USA has picked up In Plain Sight for a third season, a show rep tells TVGuide.com.

The network is also near a deal to bring back Sight's Sunday night lead-in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, according to The Hollywood Reporter. A Season 9 order for Intent would give USA a perfect 6-for-6 in renewals. Last week, the Thursday one-two punch of Burn Notice and Royal Pains each earned 16-episode pickups. Veteran hits Monk and Psych return this Friday.

Sight also received a 16-episode order, but there will be some changes behind the scenes on the witness-protection drama. Executive producers, creator David Maples and Paul Stupin, are expected to stay on only as consultants.
