Pilot News: Sutherland's in the Money Again, and More

Donald Sutherland has joined the cast of the CBS drama pilot The Eastmans, playing — wait for it — the wealthy and wily patriarch of a large family. Of doctors. Ergo, Sutherland's character is a distinguished cardiologist, whereas Dirty Sexy Money's Tripp Darling gave people heart attacks.
He'a also the husband of Jacqueline Bisset, who became an Eastman earlier this week.
In other CBS pilot news, Josh Charles (Sports Night) will play a partner at Julianna Margulies' law firm in The Good Wife, says the Hollywood Reporter. Also, Joaquim de Almeida (24) has boarded Three Rivers, starring (because it cannot be said enough) Alex O'Loughlin as well as Julia Ormond.
