Glee's Max Adler and Oscar-nominated actor Bruce Davison have joined the ABC pilot Last Resort.

The project, from The Shield creator Shawn Ryan, tells the story of a renegade submarine crew who go on the run after defying an order to fire nuclear missiles. The team, lead by Capt. Marcus Chaplin (Men of a Certain Age's Andre Braugher), find refuge at a NATO base where they declare themselves as an independent nuclear station. Also starring in the project are Scott Speedman, Autumn Reeser and Daisy Betts.
Adler will appear as a guest star in the pilot, while Davison will recur should the drama get picked up.

Adler is best known for his recurring role as closeted gay bully Dave Karofsky on Glee. Davison most recently appeared on Covert Affairs and Hawaii Five-0.
