E! Entertainment has extended the run of latenight talk show Chelsea Lately through 2009.
Host Chelsea Handler struck a chord with its audience and saw its median household rating spike 21 percent year to year in the third quarter, reports Variety.
The half hour show features Handler leading a roundtable of celebrity guests through discussions about show biz news and pop culture.
Clearly thrilled about her pickup, Handler said, "My life has really improved in the last year, and I'm grateful to have such an IQ-reducing job."
