Sarah Paulson to Channel Spirits on FX's American Horror Story

American Horror Story has tapped Sarah Paulson to channel other-worldly spirits on the upcoming FX thriller, E! Online reports.
Paulson, 35, will recur in four episodes as a medium named Billie Dean. According to the site, the Golden Globe-nominated actress will share most of her screen time with Jessica Lange, who plays the next-door-neighbor who has more than a few screws loose.

Paulson is best known for her roles on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Deadwood. She will also appear on Desperate Housewives this coming season to reprise her role as Lynette's sister.
American Horror Story, about a family who moves into a haunted house, premieres Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 10/9c on FX.
